I saw today's Daily Frail on Tangier Sound showing the minor chord form and how you can keep that form and make every minor chord by just moving it down the neck.. Really cool!
I tried to show this tab in a comment, but it got all jumbled. So hopefully that doesn't happen here.

ReplyDeleteI was a'messin' around with this song today and I played along to the recording. Looks like it's actually a half-step up from the commonly accepted version (Dm, Gm, A7) and should be played as Ebm, Abm, Bb7. It sounds like Mr. Waits is a'pluckin' on a banjo on this song, but I'm not sure if he just tuned up a half-step, or what... What's your thoughts?
ReplyDeleteI deleted my original comment 'cause I said "step" instead of "half step." I wadn't cussin' you or nuthin. Don't 'fret' about it.
